The hotel was a great spot for our family adventure, allowing us easy access to attractions in the area. Our room was clean and well-decorated, creating a comfy space after long days of exploring. The kids loved the ample breakfast choices and the friendly staff made everything enjoyable.
In my wife’s opinion, a small play area for kids would be great.

The location is excellent, right in the heart of the town, making it convenient for exploring. Although the room was spacious and had a comfy bed, the bathroom needed maintenance, with a non-functional extractor fan and poor condition of the blinds. the breakfast was enjoyable with a solid full English offering, despite a long wait due to a gas issue.

I really enjoyed my stay. the clean room had a newly refurbished en suite bathroom and the delightful Italian restaurant served up a delicious meal. Relaxing on the sun terrace and taking a stroll in the garden made my downtime lovely. The only slight downside was the lack of a lift, but it didn't take away from a great time overall. 😊

Historic charm, inviting cocktail bar, unique wishing well beer garden
The noise from surrounding bars and seagulls at night is unbearable!!! Noisy windows, maintenance issues in rooms, and limited entertainment options detract from what could be an enjoyable stay.

Just a solid selection for a quick stop in Berwick Upon Tweed with good price value. The staff provided an extra heater when I mentioned the room was cold. Bring your own teabags because the supply is limited.

Pleasantly surprised by the charm
Stayed 2 nights in a spacious superior double room with a comfy bed and a modern bathroom. Breakfast was a delight, with freshly baked croissants and a good selection of teas and coffees. The bar's cocktail menu was impressive, and the outdoor seating area was a nice touch for chilling out. Staff were attentive though a bit slow at the bar.

Great location, comfy bed!
The location is super central, but wow, it was noisy since it was a Saturday night! Our room was nice and spacious, and the bed was really comfy. The full English breakfast was tasty, even though we waited ages because of a gas issue. Wish we could've enjoyed breakfast inside instead of waiting outside in the cold.

The building carries a charm with its historical features, offering a unique aesthetic that's hard to find elsewhere. The spacious bathroom, equipped with two showers, had potential, although the water pressure could improve for simultaneous use.
Unfortunately, the room exhibited signs of neglect, like scuffed paint and a general need for TLC, which might not align with every traveler's expectations for comfort. The absence of a desk and chair was a slight inconvenience, making it tricky for those who prefer to work on the go. The nearby parking required a disc, and the hotel didn't provide any, adding minor hassle for visitors.
